When connecting to your Virgin Money bank account via Open Banking, there are two options that you can select from the drop down list, Virgin Money and Virgin Money (Essential).
The option that you need to choose will depend on the type of account that you have.
You should select Virgin Money if you have:
A Virgin Money current account, savings account, or currency account with a sort code starting 05 or 82. This includes:
B accounts rebranded to Virgin Money accounts
Clydesdale accounts rebranded to Virgin Money accounts
Yorkshire accounts rebranded to Virgin Money accounts
You should select Virgin Money (Essential) if you have:
A Virgin Money credit card account, current account, or savings account with a sort code starting 08. This includes:
Virgin Money credit card accounts
Virgin Money Essential Current Accounts
Virgin Money savings accounts
Northern Rock accounts rebranded to Virgin Money accounts
