Why am I being asked to complete this?
Identity checks are a regulatory requirement to confirm who you are, ensure your identity documents are genuine, and that they belong to you. Using secure technology makes this process quicker, more convenient, and helps protect everyone’s money by reducing the risk of fraud. If you don’t know why you have been sent an ID check to complete you should contact the company who has requested it.
How do I get started?
Click ‘Get Started’ on your Armalytix request email or the link you’ve been sent. If you have not yet received a link, you will need to wait to be sent this before being able to begin.
What documents do I need?
You will need a government issued ID document, ideally your passport, or a driving license. We recommend that you have ready one or two valid proof of address documents which clearly show your name and address. Examples of valid documents are utility bills, council tax bills, bank statements, and mortgage documents.
You may also be asked to take a selfie so we can verify you in which case you will need a device with a camera.
How long does the verification process take?
Verification usually takes a few minutes. It may take longer if the system struggles to read your documents due to glare, expired documents, or poor image quality, so it’s worth ensuring you are in a well-lit room and ideally upload original copies of recent documents.
Is the process secure?
Yes, we are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and use bank-level security with advanced encryption to ensure your personal data is stored and processed safely and securely. We take your data very seriously and obtain your consent at the beginning of the process to collect your biometric data and complete your identity check. Your completed identity report is only shared with the company that requested it.
